BINTULU: Putra Agricultural Centre (PPP) Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) Sarawak will be organising a Course on Pasture Management and Ruminant Food Silage Manufacturing on 21 October.
The course will take place from 8 am to 5 pm at PPP UPMKB for theory, while practical session at the university's Pasture Unit.
The speaker is PPP Senior Agriculture Officer Dr Zaidi Suif while the facilitator is PPP Assistant Agriculture Officer Josephin Jawai Makos.
The entry fee is set at RM150 for external participants and RM100 for UPMKB staff and students with fees covering food, drinks, certificates of participation and course notes.

A spokesman for the organisers said the course was aimed at assisting participants, breeders, and potential ruminant food operators by revealing the pasture cultivation method, the recommended fertilizing method and the correct pasture cutting method.
"The method of harvesting and manufacturing silage is also detailed," he said here, yesterday.
With that knowledge, it is hoped that the participants, future livestock feed operators and breeders will be able to generate continuous pasture yields for their own livestock.
He said it was to reduce the cost of purchasing forage as well as quality pasture grass can be sold to breeders who need fresh grass.
