Postgraduate Potential Student Incentive Course
BINTULU, JULY 17 – A total of 75 students from the Republic of China have attended the Summer Program at the Faculty of Humanities of Management and Science (FKPS), UPMKB attended a two-week incentive course starting on 17 July 2023 and will end on 31 July 2023.
The purpose of the course is to provide early exposure to the students with the environment of study and the facilities available at UPMKB as well as to be able to familiarize themselves with the learning environment at UPMKB.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student and Alumni Affairs) UPM, Prof. Dr. Arifin Bin Abdu with Dato Zul Kelfi Bin Mahpol from the CEO of MPN GLOBAL REACH also visited the students during the course. Council with the Dean of FKPS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Maulana Bin Magiman was also held to provide new motivation and encouragement to students to pursue their studies at UPMKB.
The briefing of potential postgraduate students was also presented in Chinese by Assoc Prof Ts Dr Wong Tze Jin, Deputy Dean of FKPS to provide information and guidance in assisting students in terms of course registration and consultation assistance for their learning needs. It is hoped that with such a programme students will be able to adapt and continue to excel in the future.
This program has great potential to become a short-term mobility programme (Short Course) through the participation of international students as well as foreign institutions that have a positive impact on UPMKB in the aspect of financial generation as well as better cooperation with foreign universities especially from China.
