Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) will be organising a Flower Breeding and Planting Course on 23 September.
The one-day course from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be held at the Putra Agricultural Center UPMKB .
Participating participants will learn the correct methods of planting flowers.
At the same time, participants will be exposed to the process of planting flower trees which involves the selection of the best seeds or cuttings as well as the breeding process and mixing of suitable plant media.
The course also introduces participants to how to breed flower or decorative trees as well as how to prepare a suitable soil mix for breeding decorative flower plants.
At the same time, suitable fertilizer selection methods and commonly practiced fertilizing methods to obtain high growth percentage results will be handled by experienced officers.
The entry fee is set at RM150 per person for external participants and RM100 for staff, family members and UPM students.
Participants who attend the course will be given a certificate of participation, course materials including eating and drinking.
