UPM Bintulu Campus will be made a Forestry Hub in Sarawak through the Forestry and Agriculture Research Center. Associate Professor Dr Shahrul Razid Sarbini, the Director of UPM Bintulu Campus, said the Sarawak State Government will channel a number of Grants for R&D Development research activities to UPM Bintulu Campus researchers in collaboration with the Sarawak Forestry Department.
UPMKB is drafting a comprehensive working paper to ensure that the state government's desire to conserve the forestry resources in Sarawak can be achieved. Dr Shahrul Razid informed that a total of 15 key researchers at UPM Bintulu Campus will be involved in the research.
The courtesy visit led by Dr Shahrul Razid Sarbini (pictured second from the right) lasted about 30 minutes, and it discussed about the contribution of UPM Bintulu Sarawak Campus through research activities that had been and are being carried out especially in the field of agriculture and forestry.
Participating in the visit was the Head of the Strategic, Corporate Communication and Networking Division, Associate Professor Dr Mohamad Maulana Bin Magiman (pictured first from the left) and Head of Administration Division, En Noor Hakim bin Ahmad (pictured first from the right).
