THE KENYALANG BAKTI PROGRAMME 2020

The Kenyalang Bakti Programme 2020 was held on the 17th and 18th of October 2020 to provide awareness thorough enlightenment efforts to inform campus residents and the external communities about the Covid-19 pandemic. This program is also expected to provide awareness on the dangers of drug abuse and increasingly serious criminal cases among adolescents.

This Kenyalang Bakti Programme 2020 was conducted by students of QKK2101 Bakti Siswa Course (Group 2), Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak Campus. A total of 30 students from various learning programmes have joined hands to make this programme a success. The six-slot programme included talks on the following topics: "Heal the world from the Covid-19", "The more you Consume, the Less you Live", "Stress Management- Health Care", "Security Is Our Priority", "Boost Your Immune" and "Back to Campus With SOPs". To increase the understanding of each participant who attended this programme, the secretariat provided a virtual game "KAHOOT" at the end of the talk for each slot. Five questions were displayed for each, and participants were asked to answer as soon as possible. The scores obtained were shown at the end of the game. Prizes are available to all ‘Kahoot’ winners for each slot. The programme, lasting for two days, has succeeded in attracting about 80 participants consisting of UPMKB students and the external communities. Much gratitude to all the speakers involved, especially the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) Bintulu Division and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) Bintulu for sharing useful information.
