BINTULU: QKH2104 Credited Co-Curriculum Course Students Entrepreneurs (Group 1) First Semester Academic Session 2021/2022 have successfully organized the Putra Bakti@NoviceEntrepreneurs (Restore our Future) program online on 23 October.

The program is to provide exposure to the community and help empower the youth consisting of university students in improving practical skills, soft skills and event management. At the same time allowing them to interact with each other more effectively thus applying learning outcomes not obtained in other academic courses in the classroom.

QKH2104 Student Entrepreneur Course Facilitator Roslan Ismail said the program aims to create interest and provide guidance to young people who want to venture into the world of entrepreneurship. "This program includes four slots, namely` From Zero to Hero, Friend or Opponent?, Our Circle and First Class Mind which can guide students towards entrepreneurial thinking or the tendency to become an entrepreneur through education to increase the marketability of graduates, "he said here yesterday.

He said, through entrepreneurship projects, students can apply the technical and soft skills learned and know how to manage businesses and programs, especially in the current pandemic situation. He said, young people with the title of entrepreneurs will face various problems related to their financial resources, especially during a pandemic, but with the help of government bodies, the 'novices' or new people in the world of entrepreneurship will be able to develop and achieve success.

Meanwhile, program director Mohamad Amirul Afzan Amram said, the organization of the Putra Bakti@NoviceEntrepreneurs (Restore our Future) Program is expected to have a positive impact on the organizers and participants to achieve the objectives of this program. "Having additional skills as knowledge can be applied along with other skills that they acquire through studies," he said at the closing ceremony of the program which was attended by 250 participants.

The ability to think critically and creatively in applying what is learned and adding knowledge in different fields allows them to be more competitive in the job market. Therefore, he said, students' knowledge will not be limited to certain fields only but they will also be able to expand their knowledge in different fields than usual because the program is a preparatory step to start something new at any time and hope the program continues next year.

At the same time, he said, ‘Putra Food Bank’ is a facility provided to supply food and necessities for asnaf and poor students with the slogan ‘From Students to Students in Need’ #UPMCakna.
