Introduction:

This study aims to investigate the current standards of tools and competencies required to ensure quality and uniformity of online instructions applicable to the learning and teaching of the English Language. It seeks to elicit qualitatively, what constitutes “benchmark quality” of instructions from teachers’ and students’ perspectives. Collected data are then codified into recurring themes; in the form of problems, suggestions and recommendations which will be communicated to stakeholders to inform and facilitate in their decision to upgrade critical infrastructures.
