BINTULU: Youths are invited to participate in the Putra Bakti 'Future Entrepreneur: Road To Success' Program at the Sarawak Children's Gagasan Economic Fund (TEGAS) Digital Innovation Hub Bintulu, Naim Street Mall Paragon Bintulu on 11 and 12 March.

The program was organized by Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) and TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub Bintulu.

A spokesman for the organizer and facilitator of the program Roslan Ismail said there are some problems faced by youths to start a business.

He said they lacked knowledge on how to start a business.

"With the unemployment rate in the country rising to 3.7 percent in 2022 due to lack of job opportunities, the desire of the youth to start a business is also increasing," he said in a statement here today.

Thus, he said, through the collaboration of TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub Bintulu, an agreement of understanding (MoU) and collaborative through the program was entered into with UPMKB which focuses on organizing entrepreneurial activities as well as developing entrepreneurial values among the surrounding youths.

He said the students of the QKH2104 Student Entrepreneurs (Group 1) Second Semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Session had planned to implement the program with face-to-face learning.

Roslan said four knowledge sharing sessions for youths interested in entrepreneurship include entrepreneurs and the role of entrepreneurs, marketing in the digital age, financial institutions, innovation, and creativity as well as business writing.

He said participation is targeted at 50 people and those interested can register online via the link provided and any inquiries can contact its facilitator Roslan Ismail at 012-8992858.
