BINTULU: Students of QKH2104 Student Entrepreneurs (Group 1) Session 2022/2023-2 contributed to the Student Affairs Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak Campus (UPMKB) to assist other students in need at the university.

Student representative for the program Wan Amrin Aniq Wan Abu Manshor said the donation was to help friends in need.

"Entrepreneurship activities that foster students' interest in buying and selling can enhance the knowledge of entrepreneurship among students," he said here today. 

The donation was handed over to UPMKB Head of Student Affairs Dr Kamil Latif witnessed by UPMKB staff, Hairunisah Abdul Rahman, Muhammad Abdul Rahim Habib and Roslan Ismail and subsequently handed over to UPMKB asnaf students.

Dr Kamil said the student welfare assistance is an initiative of UPMKB's Student Affairs Division (BHEP) as a measure to help underprivileged students get financial assistance and necessities.

At the same time, Student Entrepreneur Facilitator Roslan Ismail said, the involvement of students in entrepreneurial activities gives great meaning to their lives and can produce graduates who are not only academically superior, but also characteristic.

"With the hashtag #putracakna, #uswabantu is a 'from student to student' initiative that aims to fellow underprivileged students to continue their studies and can help ease their burden," he said.

He hopes that UPMKB asnaf students who receive financial assistance and high spirits will be able to succeed and complete their studies with excellence.

Members of the public who are interested in contributing to Putra FoodBank at BHEP UPMKB can donate to CIMB 8005232086 account number in the name of Universiti Putra Malaysia (Reference: Putra FoodBank) or send donations of essential goods directly to the Student Affairs Division of the Administration Building, 2nd Floor, UPM Bintulu Campus.
