RECORD BREAKING: UPMKB staff took a picture together during the 40 Hours Without Stop volunteer program at the campus yesterday
BINTULU: In conjunction with this year's national and international Volunteering Day celebrations, Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) responded to the challenge by conducting a non-stop 40-hour volunteering program at its campus here, yesterday.
For that purpose, 50 students, staff and stall operators including from the Centre for Co-curriculum and Student Development (PKPP) took the initiative to implement a two-day non-stop volunteering program around UPMKB starting Saturday.
The program generally aims to recognize the Malaysia Book of Records (MBoR) by doing 40 hours of non-stop charity work.
Among other things, the program was held to inculcate the spirit of volunteerism among the students as well as to foster the spirit and tolerance of the members involved.
In the meantime, the cleaning work also provides comfort to the students while using the facilities available at the Student Centre thus increasing the cheerfulness and cleanliness of Medan Selera and UPMKB Student Centre.
