UPMKB ORGANIZES PUTRA BAKTI FUTURE ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM: ROAD TO SUCCESS, EDUCATES THE VALUE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AMONG YOUTH

BINTULU, March 20 – Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) has organized the Putra Bakti Future Entrepreneur: Road to Success Program to educate the value of entrepreneurs among the youths around Bintulu as well as UPMKB staff.

A total of 70 youths and the program were organized by the QKH2104 Student Entrepreneurs Course Students (Group 1), Second Semester of Academic Session 2022/2023, UPMKB recently.

Wan Amrin Aniq Wan Abu Manshor, Director of the Putra Bakti Future Entrepreneur: Road To Success, said the activity was aimed at providing exposure on the right way of earning income.

"It can also increase the knowledge among the community to be more aware of the financial management that is now important for emergency use," he said.

In addition, there were four knowledge sharing sessions held for youths interested in entrepreneurship including the role of entrepreneurs in marketing in the digital age, effective financial management, financial assistance provided for youth and exposure to existing business opportunities.

The speaker slot session was delivered by (He's the owner of what?) Muhammad Abdul Rahim Habib titled The Psychology of Successful People and the second slot by Safura Bakery's Owner, Siti Nursafura Che Man, The Way To Be Success.

Next, the third slot was presented by UPMKB Lecturer, Dr. Anita Rosli entitled Entrepreneur And Business as well as the final slot, Entrepreneurship: Sources of Finance by Dr. Aryaty Alwie.

The program facilitator, Roslan Ismail said, the program is in line with the intention of the Vice-Chancellor of UPM which targets 90.5 percent of the employability of UPM graduates to venture into business and 130 student entrepreneurs are targeted to register their business with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).

Meanwhile, among the programs conducted over the two days were Ice Breaking, LDK 1 which is Business Simulation Game, LDK 2 which is We Think We Sell and LDK 3, The Creative Promoter.  -   UPM
