BINTULU: Universiti Putra Malaysia Islamic Centre Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) has carried out cooking activities and distributing lambuk porridge to staff, students, and congregations at the university after Friday prayers yesterday.

The cooking work was carried out through gotong-royong by the Islamic Centre committee members, staff, and students of UPMKB led by Ustaz Abdul Halim Abdul Kadir as early as 9 am until its complete at 11.30 am.

A spokesman for UPMKB said, with such activities, it will strengthen the relationship between the people and ukhuwah of UPMKB staff, giving the blessed month of Ramadan.

"Thank you to the UPMKB Islamic Centre which allocated 550 packets of lambuk porridge to be distributed to the students, UPMKB staff and Friday prayer pilgrims at UPMKB Mosque while sharing the sustenance in the surplus we have," he added.
