UPMKB IS DETERMINED TO HELP STUDENTS IN NEED THROUGH LAPTOP ASSISTANCE

Bintulu - A total of 10 new students from Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak Campus (UPMKB) have received laptop assistance which has been donated by the Centre for Wakaf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN) UPM as well as UPM Student Affairs Division. This meaningful contribution is one of UPMKB's initiatives in improving access and teaching and learning facilities among B40 family students.

The handover of this aid was made officially by Encik Abdullah Arshad, Head of Administration of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student and Alumni Affairs) UPM. Dr. Kamil bin Latif, Principal of the College and Head of Student Affairs, was also present as a witness at the event organized in conjunction with the HEPA Semarak Programme.

Abdullah Arshad in his speech stressed that as an undergraduate at the University, new students need to balance academic achievement with involvement in co-curriculum to form holistic graduates. He also advised the students to make the best use of their study period to dig up and develop their potential.

UPM's welfare initiative is an important step in ensuring that UPMKB students have sufficient equipment to undergo their studies with excellence and thus help them to achieve success in academic and co-curricular fields.
