"At the moment I'm helping Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu. I'm giving the fund to explore on new technology on food. No. 2 is livestock. Livestock manok jadi problem harga manok nait, telur nait, but problem with us we as importing the enabled feed.” Ujar Premier Sarawak pada Majlis Ngiling Bidai anjuran Ministry of Food Industry, Commodity & Regional Development Sarawak (M-FICORD).

 

 

Sarawak is now focusing on research and development of food production and agriculture R&D for the purpose of producing quality products. Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg said to achieve the target, Sarawak needs to explore new technologies in food production to produce quality food and strengthen food security. Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak Campus has been entrusted with research funds to explore new technologies on food and livestock.
