The women's squad of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Serdang Angels proved their superiority after winning the UPM Bintulu Rugby Sevens 2022 championship yesterday.
The victory enabled the Serdang Angels women's squad to bring home the trophy as well as the medals presented by UPM Vice-Chancellor, Dato' Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman at UPM Bintulu Campus.
Serdang Angels coach Faat Hor Rozi Ismail, is very pleased that his team have achieved the goal of becoming champions.
UPM Bintulu Campus, Sarawak organised the Rugby 7s 2022 match in conjunction with the 46th UPM Convocation Ceremony 1.
A total of four categories were contested, namely men's and women's clubs, men under 17, men under 15 and men under 12 who received 42 teams in total.
In this competition, UPM sent three teams, namely UPMKB men's and women's categories as well as the women's Serdang Angels.
