BINTULU, 1 Nov - Doing part-time work while continuing studies at the tower of knowledge is not something foreign and is often done by students of Institutes of Higher Education (IPT) to increase their pocket money.
That is what Abdul Muiz Abd Rahman, 20, who did a part-time job, took a haircut during his study at Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus, Sarawak (UPMKB).
The second of the five siblings, who is from Kelantan, decided to do the job in the fourth semester after both parents separated.
""I had to increase my income because when my mom and dad separated I and the brothers lived with my grandfather in Bachok.
"I am grateful that the response has been very encouraging and the income I used to cover my expenses here," he said.
He who obtained his Diploma in Agriculture at the Convocation Ceremony at Dewan Sri Kenyalang UPMKB today will cut hair during the holidays and evenings. -UPM
