Bintulu - Starting from today, 14 January 2023 to 17 January 2023 from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, it is expected that 1,275 students will receive the Prihatin Siswa Card for this First Batch.
The program, held at the Dewan Sidang, Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak Campus (UPMKB) was conducted by RHB Bank and UPMKB staff comprising students and staff.
The Prihatin Siswa Card initiative is an effort by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) through the Holistic Student Division, Department of Higher Education (JPT) together with Public Universities in Malaysia.
It is expected to have a positive impact on financial savings, cashless campus, smart campus and thus create a better financial eco-system for students, University management, National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) and MOHE.
The main objectives and objectives of the implementation of the Prihatin Siswa Card initiative are to:
Ø empowers and diversify the functions of student matrix cards;
Øfacilitates the distribution of allocation or financial assistance directly to the student's account;
Ø transformation of the financial transaction ecosystem in IPT towards campus cashless; and
Ø standardizes facilities or facilities and offers/privileges/rewards/promotions to students.
It is hoped that the program which will be implemented for four (4) days will run smoothly and successfully.
