8 November 2022 (Tuesday), Taman Tumbina Bintulu has received a Study Visit by students of Diploma in Animal Health and Husbandry (5th Semester), UPM Bintulu Sarawak Campus for the AHP2602 Advanced Animal Health course.

 

A total of 52 students together with their lecturer, Ts. Dr. Suhaili Mustafa and Assistant Science Officer Mr. Denny Brooke Jilan was briefed by Madam Zaiton Binti Bakeri, Assistant Veterinary Officer on the operation and management of animals at the park.

 

Visits around the park were also carried out immediately after where students were exposed to the procedures for the management of sick animals, the handling of aggressive animals, vaccination procedures and the management of the animal dietary. Visits like this are essential for the students to give them real exposure as well as to strengthen their practice and theory in lectures.
