A total of 60 students from Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak Campus (UPMKB) comprising 28 male and 32 female students participated in the Student Integration Network programme organised by the Department of National Unity and Integration of Sarawak from 3 August to 7 August 2023 at Nanga Tada, Kanowit, Sibu Sarawak.

 

This program aims to enhance students' understanding of the customs and way of life of the local community as well as to strengthen the relationship and social interaction between the younger generation and the local community. At the same time, students can apply soft skills that are not acquired in college learning to become competitive students when they graduate.

 

The programme was officiated by Mr. Haji Dirwana Bin Haji Azool, State Director of the Sarawak State Department of National Unity, and Integration. Also attended by Dr. Kamil Bin Latif, Principal of the College / Head of Student Affairs UPMKB at the Opening Ceremony as well as the handover of participants to the adoptive families at Dewan Penghulu Seribu, Nanga Tada, Kanowit, Sibu yesterday.
