BINTULU: Nazhrulhaq Hamzi Nazle was crowned the men's category champion of secondary school/higher learning institution (IPT) Dynamic Archery Competition held at Universiti Putra Malaysia Islamic Centre Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) yesterday.

Runner-up and third place were held by Arthur Mikkelsen John and Aaron Rossi Lang respectively.

Vice-champion and second place were held by Arthur Mikkelsen John and Aaron Rossi Lang respectively.

For the secondary school women/IPT category, the champion is Batrisyia Najwa Jumadi, the runner-up is Nur Qatrunnada Zahraa Hamdan and the third is Nur Asmida Natasha Shahril.

The primary school women's category champion was Fatin Nurqalesya Amani Fakhruldin, the runner-up was Siti Nur Hajar Aryanna Dereman and third place, Arissa Afrina Samri. 

The champion, runner-up and third place for each category took home prizes in the form of cash, trophies, hampers, and certificates.

Seven winners of fourth to 10th place received sago hearts prizes in the form of cash and certificates.

At the competition, participants had to go through various challenges of releasing arrows on 2D and 3D targets to collect points.

A total of 48 secondary and primary school participants and IPTs in the state including participants from Brunei Darussalam participated in the competition in conjunction with the second edition of the Islamic Arts Festival 2023 (iFEST) UPMKB..
