BINTULU: The Faculty of Agricultural Science and Forestry (FSPH) of Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) received a courtesy visit from Bintulu Port Authority (LPB) and Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) here on Wednesday.
UPMKB in its statement said the LPB delegation was accompanied by LPB Safety, Health and Environment Manager Zuraidah Mohd Rais and its staff Nur Rashiqah Suhaili, Jonathan Nolan and Zailina Sapuan.
While the SFC delegation, he said, they consisted of Park Warden Louis Velda Dominic Salon, Abdul Ghani Suhaili, Francis Embak and Perry Panting.
He said the visit discussed several agendas such as the creation of wildlife conservation areas in LPB, the collection of wildlife data around Bintulu, the UPMKB student industrial training placement initiative at LPB and SFC agencies.
In addition, he said, it also discussed the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the operation and implementation of the project.
Present at the visit by the LPB and SFC delegates were the Dean of FSPH UPMKB Dr Zamri Rosli, Deputy Dean of Academic and Student Affairs Associate Professor Dr Noorasmah Saupi, Head of Department of Animal Science and Fisheries Associate Professor Dr Juriah Kamaludeen, Head of Plant Science Department Dr Zakry Fitri Abdul Aziz, Head of Forestry Science Department Dr Norul Izani Md Allwi and Assistant Registrar of FSPH Dexter Elvin Menari.
