On 23-25 June 2023, a community health programme, KPT Prihatin Komuniti Sejahtera (KRIS), was held. This program is the result of the collaboration of Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (HSAAS) UPM with UPM Bintulu Campus in collaboration with Bintulu Division Health Office, residents of Kampung Kuala Nyalau and Masjid Darul Makmur, Jepak.

 

This programme aims to create awareness to the public on health related which includes health talks, health exhibitions, health screenings and flea treatment for children. Apart from that, community activities were also held with the locals such as colouring competition, belacan taste competition and telematch.

 

The programme was held at three locations, namely UPM Islamic Centre Bintulu Campus, Kampung Kuala Nyalau and Masjid Darul Makmur, Jepak. It is hoped that such programmes can be implemented in the future to strengthen the relationship between UPM Bintulu Campus with the community.
