The webinar attracted more than 210 participants from institutions of higher learning and schools throughout Malaysia. The guest speaker to present the webinar was Mr. Mohamad Azhari bin Abu Bakar who is a registered counsellor and also a lecturer from the Faculty of Cognitive Science and Human Development, UNIMAS.

According to the representatives of the organisers, the programme was organised with the main purpose of helping to improve work memory abilities as well as to hone the students' ability in learning and reasoning that can be applied to strengthen their learning sessions.

"With good working memory skills, students can maximize learning sessions and use effective strategies to assist their mastery of subjects and academic achievements," a spokesperson for the organisers commented on the importance of the programme.

In general, working memory is one of the important functions in the human brain especially in processes such as problem solving, following instructions, planning actions, following schedules, and organizing activities.

In the webinar session, participants were exposed to the introduction to working memory, the importance between intention and attention in the learning process, the association between working memory and daily activities, things that can cause working memory to weaken and interfere with the learning process, and myths about how to learn and work memory. Among the delivery methods used by the speakers were sharing sessions using presentation slides as well as the use of applications such as padlets and timeters to interact with participants.

Therefore, the organisers hope that this programme will help students to understand more deeply how information processing takes place in the mind and also improve their learning process. The programme is also expected to help participants to improve themselves and thus improve the students' academic achievement.
