19 August 2022 - 10 UPMKB students received device aid donations from Tabung Zakat Wazan which was presented by Encik Nurul Iman, Head of Student Affairs Division, UPM to Dr Kamil bin Latif, Principal Head of HEPA, UPMKB. So far they only use smartphones to attend lectures online and have to borrow devices from other friends if they want to complete academic assignments.

They are first-year students who do not own a laptop and are categorized as eligible and entitled to a high-spec laptop contribution worth over RM3,000 per unit, as their family background is an orphan and their mother has no fixed income.

The students who received this contribution have expressed their gratitude and joy that their dream of having a laptop to make it easier for them to follow the learning session has been achieved.  According to them, this contribution is also very helpful when preparing assignments and facing upcoming exams. This initiative aims to ensure that the B40 students' study process continues to be preserved throughout their stay at the UPM campus. Congratulations to all students involved. Hopefully, with this help, it can be a catalyst to be more motivated and passionate about learning better.
