Serdang, 26 August 2023 - 6 Diploma in Agricultural Engineering Technology, UPMKB won gold and silver in ARC2023 international competition.

 

Congratulations to 6 students of Diploma in Agricultural Technology Engineering for winning 1 gold and 1 silver medal in the Southeast Asian Agricultural and Food Engineering Student Chapter Annual Regional Convention (ARC2023) held at the Faculty of Engineering, UPM Serdang on 20 - 26 August 2023. They consist of Za'im Zuhairrudin Akhmal Bin Zailani, Chiah Yi Hua, Muhammad Irfan Isyraf Bin Rosdi, Ainnul Mardiah Shafiee, Cyril Oneil Anak Micheal Musa Onell, Keagan Anak Chandi and guided by lecturers from the Department of Science and Technology, Dr. Wan Nor Zanariah bt Zainol @ Abdullah, Dr. Nozieana Khairuddin and Dr. Nor Hanifawati bt Inai.

 

The competition was also attended by students majoring in Agricultural Engineering from the Philippines (Caraga State University, Mindoro State University), Thailand (Suranee University of Technology), Indonesia (Gadjah Mada University, Andalas University, Brawijaya University, and also several local institutions (UPM Serdang, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Perda Institute of Higher Skills, Kota Bharu Polytechnic, Jeli Polytechnic).

 

The six-day programme was held to provide an opportunity for students with backgrounds in Agricultural Engineering from ASEAN countries to exchange their experience and opinions in the field of Agricultural Engineering. At the same time, this programme also provides opportunities for students, especially foreign students, to explore the agricultural technologies available in Malaysia.
