BINTULU: The Prime Forum in conjunction with the closing ceremony of the second edition of the Islamic Arts Festival 2023 (iFest 2023) received encouraging response from the public. 

Attendees witnessed a panel of celebrities and motivational experts at Dewan Sri Kenyalang Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) last night.i.

The Perdana Forum featured Youth Development Lecturer Principal of KOSASS UPM Associate Professor Dr Mohd Mursyid Arshad acting as moderator. 

The panelists were motivational expert and media personality, Amin Idris with celebrity and independent preacher Shamsul Ghau-Ghau.

The forum discussed the theme 'Islamic Arts Catalyst for National Wellbeing' organised by UPMKB and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Creative Industries and Performing Arts.

Also present at the forum was the closing ceremony of iFest 2023 was UPMKB Campus Director Professor Dr Shahrul Razid Sarbini.

Also present were the Principal of UPMKB College/Student Affairs (HEPA) Dr Kamil Latif, General Manager of Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) Datu Muhamad Yakup Kari, senior management and other guests.

Attendees were also presented with a nasyid performance from the group of winners of the cotemporary nasyid competition at the programme.

A spokesman for UPMKB said it hoped that iFest could continue to be organized in the future to promote Islamic art in the international arena.
