The Book Talk and Launching Ceremony of Book, "Makanan Berfungsi: Seribu Satu Kebaikan" programme was organised by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) in collaboration with UPM Bintulu Sarawak Campus on 17 June 2023 (Saturday) at the Public Library Auditorium, BDA.
The book "Makanan Berfungsi: Seribu Satu Kebaikan" is a work by Prof. Dr. Shahrul Razid Sarbini, Director of UPMKB Campus with his colleagues Prof. Dr. Patricia King Jie Hung and Puan Siti Maisarah Mohd Nashri published by DBP which is the first time that a book written by UPMKB lecturers has been successfully published under Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka.
Various collaborative activities between DBP and UPMKB were also held in conjunction with the Sarawak State Level Intellectual Carnival 2023 such as the Public Book Manuscript Procurement Workshop which was held on 15-17 June 2023 at the Training Room, UPMKB Administration Building and the Exhibition and Book Sales at UPMKB Library on the same date. This manuscript workshop is seen as able to provide a space for lecturers especially in producing book writing works to be published according to their respective field expertise..
Hopefully, with the cohesive cooperation with DBP in the success of several such programs, it will increase the visibility of UPMKB as the preferred higher education institution in Malaysia and in the Borneo Islands in particular.
