50 STUDENTS JOIN PUTRA BAKTI RISING STAR 2023 PROGRAMME

BINTULU: A total of 50 secondary school students around Bintulu including Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Kidurong, SMK Baru and SMK Bintulu participated in the Putra Bakti Rising Star 2023 programme at TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub here, recently.

The programme was organised by students of the QKK2101 Bakti Student Group 101 Course in collaboration with Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) and TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub which received the guidance of Nur Asyiqin Zaidi programme advisor. 

Nur Asyiqin said, his party was proud of the spirit and cooperation as well as the positive response shown by the participants and the schools involved.

"We hope that the participants will benefit from this programme and will be able to be practiced through the sharing of knowledge and activities," she said in a statement here today.

Meanwhile, the programme director, Nurul Nabila Muhammad Anwar said he was grateful and grateful to all parties, especially the students of the QKK2101 Group 101 Course and strategic partners for the success of organising the programme.

She hopes that the program can increase performance and potential among young people in Bintulu.

Course student Thierry Henry Daniel said the programme saw three groups named the best group with the 2023 Saujana Rising Star Surge Award in the men's category being won by Mario Morientess Mathew and the women's category going to Nurul Faisya Emilyana Abdullah.

"The programme uncovered the talents and skills of the participants including leadership skills, effective communication and creative and critical thinking skills. 

"The activities and training in the group were held to test their potential, expose participants to skills, new experiences and the sharing of skilled speakers in their respective fields," he explained. 

He said the mental health care talk was delivered by Dr Mohamad Ayob Ismail from the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health of Bintulu Hospital followed by the Leadership partnership by Kigen Satong (Department of Youth and Sports Bintulu Division) and Selfidentity by Noor Hakim Ahmad (UPMKB).
