BINTULU: A total of 23 participants from nine schools in the male and female categories listened to their respective recitations at the Al-Quran Recitation Competition in the primary school category in conjunction with the second edition of the Islamic Arts Festival 2023 (iFest 2023) at the Islamic Centre of Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) on Wednesday.

The competition organised by UPMKB and the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP) was judged by five experienced judges.

A spokesman for UPMKB said several participants were crowned winners in the competition to take home trophy prizes, cash, and hampers. 

"We are grateful to the participants and the school management who have participated in this competition," he said here today.
