H) Workplace Well-Being
Introduction:
Lately, more attention was given by practitioners regarding the role of psychological empowerment in the workplace. According to Spreitzer (1995), psychological empowerment (meaning, competence, self - determination and impact) is a psychological mindset that includes the fit between one’s job and personal values. It is believed that if the employee has the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the job well, it will make a difference in the organization. On the other hand, if an employee has one missing element, it would lessen to some degree the individuals’ overall feelings of empowerment. People can be viewed as being empowered to a greater or lesser degree, not that they are or are not empowered. Frequently, high job satisfaction among the employees could result in occupational success, which in turn help to improve employees’ efficiency in the organization and simultaneously increased the organization’s productivity. Hence, the purpose of this study is to investigate the psychological empowerment, job satisfaction, and workplace well-being among professionals, particularly in Malaysia.
