The Bioproducts and Renewable Energy research group focus on applications of engineering in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy (solar, wind, biodiesel), agricultural and safety health and environment (SHE).
B) Biochar
Introduction:
Biochar (as biocoal and bioabsorbent) produced form oil palm biomass is a promising feedstock of renewable energy, contributing around 10–15% which is approximately 45 EJ of world energy use currently.
