Ornamental tree planting activities for landscape restoration in the PPWS Bintulu Building area.

The Department of Planting Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak Campus (UPMKB) and the Federation of Sarawak Women's Associations (PPWS) of Bintulu Region on 28 August 2022 organised an ornamental tree planting activity for landscape restoration in the ppWS Bintulu Building area. More than 50 people participated in the activities comprising PPWS members, lecturers and staff as well as students of the Diploma in Agriculture program from the Department of Crop Science UPMKB.

The objective of this activity is to decorate and beautify the landscape space of the Bintulu PPWS building. This activity was also carried out in conjunction with the independence month celebrations this year.

The planting and restoration activities were led by Dr. Franklin Ragai Kundat which involved activities such as reforestation, planting and reorganization, as well as pruning of ornamental trees.
