STRENGTHEN HER HEART TO RECEIVE 'UDA' DIPLOMA SCROLL

BINTULU, November 1 – Just a tear from the parents of the late Mohamad Syahmi Asyraaf Muda or called 'Uda' by Musa Sirat and Suhaida Sumit when they took the stage to receive a scroll on behalf of 'Uda' who died of lymphoma cancer on 16 September.

The mother of the late, Suhaida said 'Uda', a graduate of the Diploma in Agricultural Engineering, said the deceased's wish to continue his studies to the highest level was not achieved but the deceased managed to get a Diploma to be handed over to his beloved family at the 46th Convocation Ceremony of the 1st Session of Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) at Dewan Sri Kenyalang, UPMKB here.

“Throughout his studies at UPMKB, he was healthy and very happy and had actually received an offer to continue his studies at the Bachelor's Degree level and the spirit's desire to continue his studies to PhD level,” she said.

Recounting the moment that the late Mohamad Syahmi Asyraaf was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer, initially the deceased had a prolonged cough and had sought treatment in three clinics and no change despite seeking treatment.

“I then took the deceased to the hospital and the hospital did a CT scan and found the gland in the left neck of the deceased was swollen and needed further treatment at the hospital with the expertise,” she said.

Suhaida said her late son was then taken to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) on 31 August 2022 for two weeks for tests and follow-up treatment and was later diagnosed with lymphoma cancer.

“Her late son himself did not know he had the disease and the hospital had also informed me that his cancer had spread too quickly to my son's body, but he was strong,” she said/div>
Then on September 15, 2022, Suhaida received an emergency call from the hospital saying the deceased was bleeding and was carrying out two days of chemotherapy.

"That is the final moment of 'Uda' in the hospital and send him a message to accept the provisions of Allah swt and teach him to recite the two words of syahadah and the usual surahs. At that time, I was unable to accompany the deceased in the ward as he was placed in the intensive care unit (ICU).

"Her late son eyes are closed, his tears are flowing, and I say to him that I forgive him all his faults and love him so much," she said.

Finally, the late Mohamad Syahmi Asyraaf breathed his last on September 16, 2022.

Meanwhile, at the 46th Convocation Ceremony of the 1st Session of UPMKB, the three brothers and sisters were also present to witness the handover of the scrolls by Chancellor of UPM, Sultan Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
