70 YOUTHS MAKE A SUCCESS OF UPMKB'S PUTRA BAKTI PROGRAM

The face-to-face Putra Bakti 'Future Entrepreneur: Road To Success' program at TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub Bintulu was successfully held with the participation of 70 youths and students around Bintulu.

The program was organized by the QKH2104 Student Entrepreneurs Course Students (Group 1) Second Semester Academic Session 2022/2023 Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) in collaboration with TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub Bintulu and Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship (YLE) 2023 which was held on 11 and 12 March.

Its program director Wan Amrin Aniq Wan Abu Manshor said the program was to encourage and develop entrepreneurial values in every youth entrepreneur around Bintulu.

He said it is also to strengthen the relationship among the public and UPMKB staff by implementing four knowledge sharing sessions for youths who are interested in entrepreneurship.

He explained that the first session covers the role of entrepreneurs to marketing in the digital age, the second is effective financial management, the third is financial assistance provided to youths and the fourth exposes youths to opportunities from the existing business space.

"This activity is also to provide exposure to the participants on the right way of income generation and to enhance knowledge in the community on money management," he said here, yesterday.

He said each speaker slot session gave new knowledge to each participant with a talk delivered by Muhammad Abdul Rahim Habib who covered the title ‘The Psychology of Successful People’.

"The talk on human psychology has a positive impact on the participants to live a life full of challenges," he said.

He said the second slot entitled 'The Way To Be Success' was presented by Siti Nursafura Che Man who is the owner of Safura Bakery where she shared about the successes and obstacles faced throughout her business journey.

Next, for the third slot, he said, it was presented by Dr Anita Rosli who covered the title 'Entrepreneur and Business'.

"She shared knowledge of suitable products and services for participants who want to start their business," he said.

The final talk slot, he said, was delivered by Dr Aryaty Alwie who discussed the title 'Entrepreneurship: Sources of Finance' giving participants early exposure on the ins and outs of starting a business as well as how to manage their finances well.

The official closure of the program was officiated by Fakhzan Buang representing the management of UPMKB.
