WORKING VISIT OF THE CHIEF MINISTER OF SARAWAK

10 December 2021 - The Working Visit of the Chief Minister of Sarawak, The Most Honorable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg to UPM Bintulu Sarawak Campus (UPMKB).

Also present were UPM LPU Chairman, YAM Tengku Syarif Laksamana Perlis, Dato 'Seri DiRaja Syed Razlan Syed Putra Jamalullai, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), YBhg. Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman here.

30 years ago, YAB. Datuk Patinggi planted a Bornean ironwood (Belian) species tree (Eusideroxylon Zwageri) as a symbolic tree planting at the Forest Conservation Project site when he held the post of Sarawak Minister of Industrial Development on 15 July 1991.

Today, YAB Datuk Patinggi together with the Chairman of LPU and Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia planted another tree of the same species as the Chief Minister of Sarawak.

Apart from that, he also visited the UPMKB Mini-Exhibition at the Conference Hall and signed the Working Visit plaque to UPM Bintulu Campus, Sarawak.

He also listened to a Briefing on 'UPMKB For Sarawak' by the Director of UPM Bintulu Sarawak Campus, Prof. Dr Shahrul Razid Sarbini.

UPM presented a picture frame of the memories of the YAB Chief Minister of Sarawak when planting a Bornean ironwood tree 30 years ago and also the sharing of the UPM Strategic Plan Book 2021-2025.
