The tournament was organised with a commitment to support the aspirations of the Ministry of Higher Education to produce ‘The Thinking Athlete’.
According to QKS2120 Course Facilitator Mr Roslan Ismail, the tournament train students to apply technical skills in line with one of the university's objectives to develop competent, professional, and entrepreneurial graduates.
The volleyball tournament is not just for recreation and fitness, but as a starting point for students to live their lives in preparation for the COVID-19 Endemic Transition Phase.
Deputy Program Director Mark Ian Ricky said the sports activities will showcase the value of sportsmanship as well as the spirit of competitiveness.
It can thus be a platform to help produce students who are fit, active and productive with noble values to face challenges in the future.
The tournament, which was participated by UPMKB students and staff, ended smoothly and the participants were very happy because such a tournament had not been organised for a long time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
