The UPMKB Agripreneurial Incubation Programme 2.0 was launched by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mass Hareeza Binti Ali @ Hamid, Director of the Centre of Entrepreneurial Development And Graduate Marketability, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Serdang on September 12, 2019 (Thursday) at the Briefing Hall, Administrative Building, UPMKB. The ceremony was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Kian Huat representing UPMKB Campus Director, Prof. Dr. B. K. Huat.

The program has received strong support from the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) and UPM. MOE has given the allocation to UPMKB to implement the programme. One of the objectives of the Agripreneurial Incubation Program is to produce excellent and credible agripreneurs and prepare them for agricultural projects. This is in line with the government's aspiration to produce more entrepreneurs in agriculture as well as boost the country's food production.

For this season, the UPMKB Incubation Unit offered three modules namely, Crop Planting (Fertigation) Module, Poultry Breeding Module and Fish (Captive) Breeding Module. A total of 31 participants applied for the Agripreneurial Incubation Programme, and only 6 participants completed the programme.

The UPMKB Agripreneurial Incubation Unit will reopen the offer for the second season in November 2019. This offer is to open to graduates interested in participating in the programme. This Agripreneurial Incubation Program is offered to applicants with at least a Diploma certificate and under 30 years old. UPM graduates including UPMKB students are strongly encouraged to participate in this programme.
