Ee Zu Er (nickname Zoe) from Kajang, Selangor just completed a Diploma of Agricultural Engineering (DKP) from Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus Sarawak (UPMKB). She had received the best final semester or graduated student for year 2017/2018 for Category: Diploma of Engineering (IPTA) as the recipient of the “IEM Sarawak Branch Chairman’s Award” which taken place on the 30th June 2018 in Imperial Hotel Kuching. This event was in conjunction with the IEM Sarawak Branch Annual Dinner. Ee Zu Er has been awarded with a trophy, certificate and one complimentary ticket to attend IEM Sarawak Branch Annual Dinner 2018 including accommodation (twin sharing basis) and air ticket.
Her excellent academic record makes her a good candidate for this event. She have continued to maintain an excellent academic record of a Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) of 3.841 up to 5th semester and still waiting for her final (semester 6) result since she just completed her industrial training (internship) session last May 2018 at National Ilan University (NIU), Taiwan.
In addition, she had also gained extensive experience while having an internship program at National Ilan University (NIU), Taiwan for the past six months; started from 6 November 2017 till 22 April 2018. The acceptance of internship program by National Ilan University, Taiwan made her as the first student from Department of Basic Science and Engineering, UPMKB who pursued the internship session overseas. She has worked under supervision of Professor Dr. An-Pan Cherng, working in agriculture robotic laboratory and had produced a wonderful research project entitled with “Colour Sorting System of Agriculture Products”.
