FUTSAL : STRIVE TILL STRIKE

Bintulu, 15 January. The Futsal Programme : Strive Till Strike, a basic futsal clinic was held with great fanfare organised by students of the QKS2104 Futsal Credit Co-Curriculum Course (Group 101) Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Sarawak Campus (UPMKB). The program is conducted online through the Cisco Webex application with the filling of 2 talk slots related to basic techniques, rules and formations of futsal games. Although the programme was conducted online rather than face-to-face, it still received a warm and encouraging response with 89 participants from 13 years old to 40 years old from all over Malaysia participating in the programme.

In addition, with the expertise and experience of the guest speakers, Mr. Alistair Anak Edmund Gelau and Encik Mohamed Syafik Bin Mohamed Salleh, the strive till strike programme received excellent assessment and satisfaction from the participants and some of the participants applied to hold the program again face-to-face in order to gain a comprehensive knowledge of futsal sports tactics. Although technical and tactical skills cannot be shown face-to-face, the speakers took the initiative by using video presentations and descriptions one by one so that the presentation to the participants is clear and understandable.

The Futsal : Strive Till Strike programme is also filled with e-weighing ball competition and has received quite lively response from students of UPM Serdang Campus and UPM Bintulu Campus as well as the general public. The winner of the competition was won by Muhammad Aqil Bin Z.Azaman who was a student of UPM Serdang Campus while Awang Shukry Bin Awang Sebini from the outside participants was runner-up while the third place was won by Frankie Wan David who is also an outside participant.

Overall, program participants called for the sharing of knowledge and proficiency in this futsal game to be expanded massively in order to give birth to new talents to improve the quality of the country's sports.
