QKH2104 Credited Co-Curriculum Course Student Entrepreneurs (Group 1) First Semester Academic Session 2021/2022 Universiti Putra Malaysia Kampus Bintulu Sarawak (UPMKB) has successfully organized the PUTRA BAKTI @ Novice Entrepreneurs (Restore our Future) webinar on 23 October.

The webinar aims to provide exposure to the community and help empower youths consisting of university students in improving practical skills, soft skills and event management as well as allow them to interact with each other more effectively while applying learning outcomes not obtained through the course. other academics in the class.

In the meantime, QKH2104 Student Entrepreneur Course Facilitator Roslan Ismail said the program was aimed at creating interest and providing guidance to young people who want to venture into the world of entrepreneurship. The program consists of four slots namely, From Zero to Hero, Friend or Opponent?, Our Circle, and First Class Mind which can guide students towards an entrepreneurial mindset or the tendency to become an entrepreneur through education that is certainly proven to improve graduate marketability.

Furthermore, through entrepreneurship projects, students can apply the technical and soft skills learned and know how to manage businesses and programs, especially in this pandemic situation. In this situation, young people who are entrepreneurs will face various problems related to their financial resources. However, there is also a lot of help that can be given by government bodies, to help the 'novices' or new people in the world of entrepreneurship to continue to develop and achieve success despite facing economic problems during this pandemic.

"In addition, Putra Food Bank is a facility provided to supply food and necessities for asnaf and poor students with the slogan 'From Students to Students in Need' #UPMCakna," said Program Director Mohamad Amirul Afzan Amram when speaking at the event the closing of the one -day program which was attended by 250 participants.

He hoped that this effort would at least help and ease the burden of the students involved. Through the organization of the PUTRA BAKTI @ Novice Entrepreneurs Program (Restore our Future), it is hoped to have a positive impact on the organizers and participants to achieve the objectives of this program. Indeed, having additional skills like the knowledge that can be applied along with the skills they acquire through study is very important.

The ability to think critically and creatively in applying what is learned and adding knowledge in different fields enables them to be more competitive in the career market. Thus, students' knowledge will not be limited to their respective fields but they will also be able to expand their knowledge in fields that are different from their usual because this program is a preparatory step for them to start something new at any time and the organization of the program this entrepreneurship will continue next year.
