SHARING: Participants were exposed to oyster mushroom cultivation methods.

BINTULU: A total of 38 participants in the state participated in the Oyster Mushroom Cultivation Course organized by University Agriculture Park (TPU) Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB) recently.

Its organising chairman Mr. Sylvester Igak Kana said, among the contents of the course was the method of cultivating oyster mushrooms specifically for commercialization, exposing participants to the knowledge of the basics of oyster mushroom cultivation such as selection and preparation of media and basic planting materials.

Apart from that, he said, the proper methods of caring for oyster mushroom crops were also introduced.
