From the FKPS Dean’s Desk

Greetings from the Dean

Welcome to and thank you for visiting the Faculty of Humanities, Management and Science [Fakulti Kemanusiaan, Pengurusan & Sains (FKPS)] website.

FKPS is one of two new faculties, the other being Faculty of Agricultural Science and Forestry, that was established on 1 July 2020 in Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB). The faculty houses many disciplines from social sciences, humanities and science that are grouped into two academic departments, namely: Department of Social Sciences and Management (Jabatan Sains Sosial & Pengurusan, JSSP) and Department of Science and Technology (Jabatan Sains dan Teknologi, JSTEK).

Presently, programmes offered by the faculty are as follows:

• Bachelor Science Industrial Chemistry with Honor (JSTEK)
• Bachelor Science in Human Development with Management (JSSP)
• Diploma in Agribusiness (JSSP)
• Diploma in Agricultural Engineering (JSTEK)
• Diploma in Human Development (JSSP)
• Preparatory Diploma Science, (JSTEK)

Several more academic programmes are in the planning and upon completion of due processes, the faculty hopes to offer them soonest.

At the graduate level, many areas of studies are offered for supervision from academic staff at UPMKB. Potential applicants are requested to check them at the School of Graduate Studies website, where available staff are listed as potential advisors/ supervisors.

Potential collaborators in research may also view expertise of faculty members that may match the need of the former. Past relevant experiences, present works and future areas for collaboration will be updated from time to time for the benefits of suitors.
