B) Biogas

Introduction:

Biogas project under the Biorefinery@UPMKB will establish an integrated system of waste separation and bioenergy production from MSW generated in the campus. We target to generate a biogas from the organic matters to power the biorefinery complex. This is in line with UPM green campus initiative and will further strengthen UPM’s position in the UI Green Matrix ranking. The project had gained strong support from campus community and it could be estimated about 50% of the MSW is organic matters are produced daily.
